Meet My Best-est Friend

I want to thank you guys for being patient with me about not having new posts up this weekend. My best-est friend in the whole world had to go to the vet yesterday because she seems to have an infection on her foot. We only recently discovered it, therefore with her licking it and being outside it got worse.

She's okay though. She's on some meds and a foot soaks to help heal the infection. Unfortunately, at night she has to wear the cone of shame. We have to keep her from licking it even more.

So, I've been spending time snuggling the munchkin and making sure she's okay. That's what a dog mom does!

Since I started talking about her let me tell you how we met.

Tink is what I call her mostly; sometimes monkey or bug depending on what she's up to. So, Tink's mom and dad were actually my mom's dogs. So, when Tink's mom delivered this one puppy it was Fate. I didn't know it though. At the time, I was in college and looking to get into an apartment by myself that would allow me to have a dog.

Well, I found one and I told my parents I signed the lease and after I got all moved in I was going to look into getting a dog.

My parents talked it over among themselves and when I went home for Christmas they told me this adorable little puppy was mine. I had to wait until she was a year old to come live with me, but it all happened at the right time. And now here we are 9 days from her 10th birthday. We've been through a lot together and I don't think I would have made it through some of it without her. She's my baby and I love her to pieces. So, she gets hurt I feel horrible and just want to make her better.

Luckily, I have pet insurance and luckily it wasn't something life threatening. I'd be lost without her.
