Today at work, a coworker asked how my weekend was and I mentioned that I spent some time working on my website. He seemed impressed by that. I explained that I have a journalism degree and that I enjoy writing and that by creating a website I still get to write and keep up a portfolio, so I can do some freelance writing on the side. He told me to keep the work. You never know where things will lead you. He then told me how his son never thought he'd be receiving awards for doing work on music videos for Katy Perry and that. So that's pretty cool.
