November 11, 2017

For the second time this week, I had someone ask if I was losing weight.

I am trying to get healthier and it's great to have people seeing the changes.  I've noticed my clothes are fitting a bit better.  That in itself has started to boost my confidence.  But, having people notice is just the cherry on top.

I've been doing a little yoga and doing more standing and walking at work.  I've cut out the majority of dairy and sugar dr...

When I was about 16 years old, I started going through several blood tests to find out what was wrong with me.  For a female of this age, my body wasn’t following the natural course.

The discovery was found that I had Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). Specifically, mine was Congenital adrenal hyperplasia with 3-Beta Hydroxylase Deficiency.   Per, “Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) is a group of...

My last doctor went well.  I was scared because I saw the x-rays the day before and not knowing what I was looking at or what it should like, I jumped automatically to the worst possible conclusion.

Luckily, I freaked myself out for no reason.  My doctor said everything is still in place and looking good to start physical therapy.

Since that appointment, I’ve had a couple of appointments now and I keep getting more e...

Welcome to 2017.  This year my main focus will be on my health; physical and mental.

Right now I'm still recovering from a spinal fusion.  I have a special corset and bone stimulator that I have to wear daily and small exercises to do to keep active while I heal.  However, this is giving me a chance to renew myself mentally.

As of December 19th, I have been on disability and away from work.  I'm looking at a March return as...

The month of October was no less than an uphill climb.  I am so ready for surgery.  I’m ready to be back on my feet and feeling like myself again.  I want to be able to exercise, to dance, to take Tink for a walk without being in pain or feeling completely and totally exhausted.  I’m so ready.

My weight loss journey has hit a major road block.  I can’t do my physical therapy.  I’m still watching what I eat and ke...

October 1, 2016

The month started off a little rocky.  From being nauseous and not wanting to eat, to hitting up the state fair, I was off track.  I wasn’t logging my food and I wasn’t able to get my normal exercises going.  After my injections at the end of August, I was just feeling so off.  I had a continuous headache, I felt weak, and just exhausted.

As the month continued, it didn’t get any better.  From back to back doctor...

A month has gone by and I have been looking at things differently.  You have all been so supportive about this and I’ve been given great advise that I am really trying to take to heart.  This is a lifestyle change for me and that’s how I’m looking at it.

I started the month recording everything I ate.  This was to show myself where I sit on a normal basis.  It was also to show myself what is good and what can be eate...
